These gentle creatures and adorable have been around since 2005. Even if it took until May 2007 to finally meet my first. I lived New York and it was actually an adult who owned several of these stuffed animals. She was a schoolteacher who came through Webkinz when one of his students brought to class. She quickly grew attached and ran to the nearest toy shop to load on this new craze. I remember it was the Clydesdale horse and my favorite, a koala, I could not resist hugging. She looked forward to the release of the raccoon, which was released in June 2007. I remember this great person, professional woman who sounded like a child on Christmas morning when she describes the value and pleasure of owning one of these Webkinz!
I personally have not, but it does nothing to the company Gantz which produced these stuffed animals and since there is no shortage of Webkinz fans out there. These days you can find almost any animal or creature made a Webkinz. This month alone, August 2008, will be the release of many others, including a silver back gorilla and a skunk. Next month include a bat, a squirrel and many more. This Christmas season, you can run out and buy one .. Snowman Personally, I think they should have arrive with a lady snow to match!
You can go online to many sites to find ones that are available for purchase and those "Retired". You can also find them in most cards and gift shops or one of your favorite toy stores locally.
But these are animals not just little stuffed ahead and gather dust. Everyone has a secret code and you go to their website and access Webkinz virtual world. On this site you can play games or interact with your pet. They even have their own room that you can buy furniture to decorate and content of your little heart.
I went to several websites to learn more about Webkinz and I was surprised to find things all the fun associated with these cute little stuffed toys. One of the cool things was to prepare meals for your virtual pet. There are tons of recipes with funny names like "Sloppy Joekinz, Spinnerette or Monstrosoupy. All food products to revenue were purchased with the points you receive when you play games, etc. You can even buy devices to help in the preparation of revenue, such as stoves, grills, toasters, mixers and almost everything you find in a real kitchen.
The Webkinz business is a huge phenomenon and fun, but Of course everything has its downside. I am sorry to add that there Poopers Webkinz there who think the whole idea is ridiculous and not a good idea for some children. But I suppose that everything in this world you know if buying one of these charming little pets and talk and play with them is to you or not. But anyway, go check them out and enjoy.
